We've passed the midway mark of October. As we inch closer to the election, I hear more and more people say they are scared of what is to come. Turn to the Saints for guidance, and to prayer as your sword and shield. How many times have you read the Saints' counsel to abandon worry and turn to our Lord for support? Pray. Pray for our leaders. Pray that our citizens vote with their eyes pointed upward and not inward. And, once it is all over, pray for our country, and that we may always be grateful for our lives in Irvington. And while you're at it... pray the Rosary.
Finally, thank you to the growing group of parishioners who pray across the street from Planned Parenthood on Tarrytown Road in White Plains, every Monday morning, from 7AM to 11AM. If you would like to join them, grab your Rosary and dress in layers. This is truly is a peaceful protest. The Blessed Mother is certainly smiling upon them.
Don't forget that Sunday Mass is posted and updated Saturday afternoons on
the homepage of our website, for those unable to attend in person. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Ashman
