Independence Day Weekend
Since I know you are busy - or perhaps just busy enjoying a much deserved rest this Independence Day weekend - here is a brief summary of our parish news and upcoming events.
"...Unfortunately, there has been some confusion recently over whether or not a “dispensation” from Sunday Mass has been in effect. Here in the Archdiocese of New York, there has never been a dispensation from Sunday Mass, because no man can “dispense” or set aside a Divine (as opposed to man-made) law. To deliberately miss Mass is a sin..."
Timothy Cardinal Dolan
Parishioners and Friends, with the State of Emergency lifted, vaccinations high, and infection rates low - unless you have a justifiable reason (e.g.old age, illness, and infirmity), we have a Divine Obligation to attend Mass. Come back to Mass. Summer is a good family time to return. Parents, no amount of religious education will substitute for your example.
Can you live without the Eucharist?
Are you willing to die without it?
WE'RE SO EXCITED
With the lockdown behind us
we are gearing up for a few major comebacks
- and some great new events! -
in the 2021-2022 year.
The kickoff begins at our
Annual Welcome Back BBQ
which we plan to make bigger than before! Don't miss it.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2021
FOLLOWING THE NOON MASS
TUTTI A TAVOLA
The amazing ladies of
the Altar and Rosary Society
praying, meeting, or performing their charitable works throughout the 2020-2021 season. This week Lynn Gambardella, President, and Pat Crimmins, Vice President, personally delivered
all of your wonderful donations
to the Sisters of Life - and they were so happy and grateful for all of your generosity!
ICC parishioners are the best!
Now the A & R is ready to throw the Spaghetti
to rival all Spaghetti Dinners!
There has been a lot of work underway to offer you more of everything at this year's event... more fun... more prizes... more service (wait 'til you see our youth in action)... more desserts
(with special thanks to Main Street Sweets!)
... and more love from the ladies of A & R!
SAVE THE DATE!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16 -
Are you hungry yet?!
EVERYONE TO THE TABLE!
IT'S TIME TO EAT!
We Catholics do all of our best celebrating at the table, don't we? The most important celebration of all, of course, is the Mass - the Eucharist - at the Table of Tables.
Come back to the Table, and then we will continue celebrating at all the others.
May God Bless you this summer and this Independence Day!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
