Today, Ash Wednesday, we begin the season of Lent. It is a day of Fasting and Abstinence. Our remaining Masses are at 12PM and 7:30PM. We will also have a Service at 4:00PM.
Today, Ash Wednesday, we begin the season of Lent. It is a day of Fasting and Abstinence. Our remaining Masses are at 12PM and 7:30PM. We will also have a Service at 4:00PM.
The norms for fasting are obligatory from the age of 18 until the age of 59. Fasting means that a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. Abstinence from meat is binding for individuals from the age of 14 onwards.
