ICC Valentine's Day Gift
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Happy St. Valentine's Day! Technically, of course, it is the Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time, and this relegates our beloved St. Valentine to second place. It also happens to be the last Sunday before Lent.
, since everyone loves St. Valentine soooo much, we couldn't let this perfect storm of liturgical calendar events go unrecognized and uncelebrated. So, consider this your very own, two part, ICC Valentine's Day card and gift!
Gift Part One:
From today until Easter, you have access to a
Bishop Barron's Word on Fire videos for free
! This includes his greatest movies, mini courses, interviews and more. They are simply beautiful, inspirational, and magnificently produced. (See for yourself below.) You can access them when click on the video below, or when you log in to your Flocknote account and click on the "Visit WOF Digital" Button at the top of the page. Don't waste this opportunity to watch these videos with someone you love.
Here is Episode 1 of his iconic Catholicism Series.
If you watch this one, you may become addicted, and fall in
Gift Part Two:
We have added you to our
CC Lent 2021
email group. A big hit last year, you will be receiving Lenten messages, as well as inclusion in
Bishop Barron's own Word on Fire Series ENGAGE.
Make of this second gift what you will. If you would like to immerse yourself in it, you will benefit from it enormously. Full participation in it this Lent will put everything we have endured for the last 12 months very much into perspective.
I hope you enjoy our "Valentine" to you, and that you use it as much as you possibly can.
Before you go,
my heartfelt gratitude to the Altar and Rosary Society
for their persistence, generosity and hard work.
Their Great Big St. Valentine's Day Basket Raffle was a spectacular success
, and there are 19 happier parishioners at ICC to prove it! Thank you to all of you who supported the raffle and, by virtue of that, the wonderful A & R Society.
The Mass for this weekend can be
, if you are not able to come to church. I warn you, if you take part in our Lenten observances, reflect on the emails, and watch the videos, nothing will ever keep you from wanting to attend Mass in person again.
A Blessed Sunday, and a very Happy St. Valentine's Day.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Understanding these are very difficult times, please consider making an online donation to our parish. We know that some of you may not be comfortable making your donations online. If so, feel free to mail in your envelopes to the Rectory. Thank you for your generosity.
